Job summary

AAR is seeking a Logistics Director to lead and maintain a comprehensive logistics and supply chain program that ensures uninterrupted availability of materials, tools, and equipment to support flight operations at Fort Rucker in Alabama. This on-site role emphasizes cross-unit coordination and adherence to DoD requirements.

Ideal candidates bring a BA/BS or similar, a decade in logistics with aerospace focus, and proven leadership in PBL and closed-loop supply chains.

Qualifications

• BA/BS/BBA from a four-year college or university.
• Ten years of logistics management experience, five in aerospace/aviation.
• Leadership in PBL programs and closed-loop supply chains for aircraft operations.
• Proficiency with CAMP or equivalent for predictive maintenance/parts planning; working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100.
• Proficient in the Microsoft O365 Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure new programs are timely and effectively implemented per budgetary objectives and contractual requirements.
• Maintain and foster responsive coordination among top logistics/supply chain staff of each DoD customer organization.
• Provide direct leadership of staff carrying out on-site tasks to satisfy contractual requirements and cost targets.
• Manage resources of all assigned programs to achieve business unit profit goals.
• Assist in preparing routine correspondence, spreadsheets, Gantt charts, presentations and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate program activity with Directors of other programs to leverage common resources and skills.
• Provide inventory acquisition, forecasting, and disbursement advice to management.
• Provide DoD-specific inputs for the development, implementation, and execution of the overall business plan.
• Work with leadership of other units to support customers and programs.
• All other duties as assigned.
