Job summary

LVI Associates in Atlanta seeks a Structural Lead to head the Aviation Diagnostics practice, guiding investigations, rehabilitation, and asset performance for major airport infrastructure across North America.

You will lead multidisciplinary projects, mentor engineers, manage client relationships, and help shape strategic decisions for large capital programs, while delivering technically rigorous diagnostics and restoration plans. Hybrid work environment with a strong benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
  • PE license required.
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
  • Experience leading structural assessment, diagnostics, forensic, rehabilitation, restoration, or investigation projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor, guide, and develop engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead structural assessments, investigations, and forensic evaluations of aviation facilities.

A nationally recognized engineering consulting firm is seeking a Structural Lead to join its growing Aviation Diagnostics Team in Atlanta. The Opportunity

As a Structural Lead within the Aviation Diagnostics practice, you will provide technical leadership and project oversight for investigations, evaluations, and rehabilitation projects involving airport terminals, parking structures, airside facilities, transportation infrastructure, and other critical aviation assets.

You will work alongside industry-leading diagnostics professionals, airport authorities, architects, owners, and program management teams to develop innovative solutions that extend the service life, performance, and resilience of aviation infrastructure.

What You'll Be Doing

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • PE license required.
  • 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
  • Experience leading structural assessment, diagnostics, forensic, rehabilitation, restoration, or investigation projects.
  • Strong understanding of existing structures, deterioration mechanisms, repair methodologies, and structural performance.
  • Demonstrated project management experience including scope, schedule, budgets, and client management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor, guide, and develop engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SE license preferred.
  • Aviation infrastructure experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting airport authorities, aviation clients, or transportation agencies.
  • Background in forensic engineering, diagnostics, restoration, existing structures, or infrastructure asset management.
  • Established professional network within the Southeast aviation market.
  • Proven business development and client relationship experience.
