Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah, GA seeks a Full-time Lab Technician with aviation manufacturing and QA testing experience.

You will perform laboratory tests, record results, maintain equipment calibration, and ensure compliance with FAA/type design data. Proficiency in blueprint reading, shop math, and data entry into Access/Solumina/Corridor is required.

Requirements include HS diploma or GED, 6 years related experience (3 in lab testing); ASQ certification is preferred upon hire.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 6 years technically related experience including 3 years laboratory testing experience.
• ASQ certificate (American Society for Quality) preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests and determines product acceptability per procedures.
• Records, organizes and evaluates test results and generates Lab reports.
• Ensures safety rules and regulations are followed during testing.
• Maintains equipment and assures calibration prior to tests.
• Maintains inventory control of area equipment.
• Assists other lab Technicians as required.
• Data entry proficient in Microsoft Access, Solumina, and Corridor.
• Ensures measurement and test equipment are calibrated to NIST standards.
• Develops procedures meeting FAA, Gulfstream, manufacturer and industry requirements.
• Works with customers to solve complex technical or logistical problems.
• Able to work with little or no supervision.
