Job summary

Broward County Board of County Commissioners seeks an Information Systems Manager for the Aviation Information Technology Applications Division to lead enterprise applications and reporting systems. You will drive project delivery, governance, and collaboration across teams to optimize service delivery.

The role requires directing system development, optimizing performance, and managing security, with a focus on continuous improvement within a government aviation context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, with substitution: 1 year of experience for each year of education.
• Four years in planning, managing and implementing information system solutions, including two years supervisory experience.
• Possession or eligibility for FCIC/NCIC certification depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Application Services Section and oversee enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scopes, goals, and deliverables.
• Manage application performance, availability, and security, and oversee vendor relationships.
• Participate in Change Control, IT Incident Response and Disaster Recovery/COOP activities.
• Provide leadership for staff development and project management oversight.
