Job summary

Base Leg Maintenance seeks a skilled Aircraft Interior & Upholstery Specialist to repair, restore, and upgrade aircraft interiors. This hands-on role blends sewing expertise with design sense to deliver polished, high-quality interiors that meet functional and aesthetic standards.

The ideal candidate has professional upholstery experience and is adept at working with leather, vinyl, fabric, and foam, including pattern creation and precise stitching. In-person, pay $25.00–$35.00/hr, 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Professional sewing and upholstery experience required.
• Experience operating industrial sewing machines is highly valued.
• Strong pattern-making, measuring, cutting, fitting, and fabrication skills are essential.
• Experience with leather, vinyl, fabric, foam, and upholstery materials is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, especially with stitching, seams, symmetry, fit and finish.
• Good visual sense for color, texture, and interior design.

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, recover, and reinstall aircraft seats and components.
• Measure, pattern, cut, fit, and sew upholstery materials.
• Create and replace seat covers, cushions, armrests, and related soft goods.
• Repair side panels and interior components.
• Perform decorative stitching including topstitching.
