Job summary

FSB Architects + Engineers is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join the Aviation Studio in Denver, CO. You will lead interior design efforts for aviation projects, coordinating with architects, engineers and clients to deliver spaces that balance passenger experience with operational needs.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field (CIDA-accredited), 3+ years of aviation project experience, and proficiency in Revit.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field from a CIDA-accredited program.
  • NCIDQ certification or professional licensure preferred, or actively working toward certification.
  • Proficiency in Revit required.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Enscape, or other design and visualization tools preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to interior design efforts for aviation projects through all phases of design and documentation.
  • Develop design concepts, space plans, finish palettes, material selections, and furniture solutions aligned with client goals and project requirements.
  • Translate design concepts into functional, durable environments that support passenger experience, airport operations, and long-term facility needs.
  • Prepare and coordinate interior design drawings, specifications, details, schedules, and construction documents.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and other disciplines to integrate interior design with building systems and overall project design.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, design reviews, and coordination meetings.
  • Research and select materials, finishes, furnishings, and products based on aesthetics, performance, maintenance, sustainability, and budget.
  • Support construction administration, including submittal reviews, RFIs, site observations, and coordination of design-related issues.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to developing designers while contributing to a collaborative studio environment.
