Job summary

HNTB is seeking an engineer to produce and modify design calculations, technical reports, and construction documents for aviation projects in Southern California. You will work with the project manager to research, design, and deliver complex solutions using Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and related tools.

The role involves mentoring junior engineers, collaborating across disciplines, and ensuring quality control across deliverables for large hub airports, aviation cargo, and GA clients.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Engineering with relevant experience (4+ years for BS, 3+ for MS, 2+ for PhD).
• Experience with aviation infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and coordinate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce and modify design calculations, technical reports, and construction documents.
• Collaborate with project manager on research, development, and delivery of designs.
• Develop conceptual and detailed designs using Civil 3D/AutoCAD and other tools.
• Provide technical guidance and review work of junior engineers.
• Ensure quality control across discipline-specific deliverables.
