Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in the Greater Kansas City area is seeking a full-time Aviation Human Factors Designer Intern to learn and contribute to system-level requirements and tests for integrated avionics.

You will perform UI reviews, usability testing, and assist in human factors evaluations across flight deck programs, while gaining hands-on experience with Garmin aviation guidelines and flight simulators.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Interactive Design, Human Factors, Visual Design, HCI, or equivalent.
• GPA ≥ 3.0.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, detail/quality oriented, organized, analytical, team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform UI reviews of software changes and conduct usability testing.
• Assist in human factors evaluations for avionics projects.
• Learn Garmin guidelines and flight-deck UI standards.
• Document work clearly and communicate progress to mentor.
