Job summary

Signature Aviation in Utah is seeking a GSE Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain ground support equipment used in operations at our Provo location. You will service engines, hydraulics, and related systems and ensure maximum reliability of aircraft support gear.

The role requires reading blueprints, operating hand tools and precision instruments, and completing all required logs and paperwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Minimum of 18 years of age and legal work authorization.
• Must pass background checks, drug test, receive and maintain airport security clearance.
• Prior GSE or heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Must have your own tools and a valid driver's license.
• Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a plus.
• ASE certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain ground support equipment used in operations.
• Troubleshoot, repair and overhaul ground support equipment.
• Check and service ground support equipment with fuel, water, oil and hydraulic fluid.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals.
• Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
• Complete GSE paperwork and logs as required.
