Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a GSE Mechanic Level I to repair and maintain ground service equipment including tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks, and related vehicles.

You will perform advanced maintenance on a wide range of equipment. Responsibilities include servicing with fluids, logging repairs, inspecting engines, brakes, undercarriages, and wiring; diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues; and completing paperwork while following safety protocols

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• 1–2 years of verified experience.
• Provide own tools and toolbox.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligible for credentials/clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs).
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers to be repaired with work descriptions.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, replace, repair or modify engines and transmissions.
• Inspect brakes, bumpers, undercarriages, tires and wiring.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues per manuals.
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance.
• Complete associated paperwork and track parts.
• Adhere to safety procedures and PrimeFlight standards.
