Job summary

Tradewind Aviation is seeking a Ground Instructor to deliver Initial Ground school for the PC-12 and assist the Director of Training in evaluating training systems and procedures.

You will conduct engaging ground sessions on aerodynamics, aircraft systems, navigation, weather, and regulations, while mentoring students and maintaining training records. Some travel and weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an instructor or teacher, preferably with single-engine turboprop aircraft experience.
• Strong knowledge of aviation principles, regulations, and best practices, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to others.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with students and foster a supportive learning environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in instructional delivery, including the use of multimedia tools and techniques.
• Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate changing student needs, schedules, and instructional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Initial Ground school curriculum for PC-12.
• Deliver engaging and informative ground instruction sessions covering aerodynamics, aircraft systems, navigation, weather, regulations, and procedures.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to gauge student comprehension and progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with flight instructors and staff to ensure integration of ground and flight training activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and training milestones.
