Job summary

Alliance Ground International (AGI) in Tampa seeks a Material Handler to support on-time flights and safe ground operations in a high-pace aviation setting. You will perform cargo loading/unloading, verify counts and weights, and ensure proper documentation and releases.

Role requires operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, maintaining inventory, and adhering to safety rules. Flexibility for shifts incl. nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with flight crew and ground crew.
• Basic math for counting weight and piece counts.
• Computer systems to track cargo or inventory.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate loading and unloading of cargo to and from trucks.
• Check freight for piece count, weight, dimensions and documents.
• Issue warehouse receipts or delivery receipts as appropriate.
• Ensure cargo has proper release before delivery to consignee or agent.
• Operate forklift, pallets, and pallet jacks.
• Break down cargo from import flights and store correctly.
• Build up cargo for export flights following supervisor instructions.
• Maintain inventory of freight, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain cargo security and report discrepancies.
