Air Force Test Center at Edwards Air Force Base is seeking a Full-Time Aircraft Pneudraulic System Mechanic to install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain fuel and hydrazine systems on test aircraft. The role requires SCBA use, safety-focused work, and ability to follow detailed instructions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in aircraft fuel system maintenance.
• 2 years of experience working in confined spaces.
• 1 year experience wearing self-contained breathing apparatus.

Responsibilities

• Must maintain fit test certification for Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and airline (free-flow) Respirators.
• Skill in using and maintaining hand tools, power tools and special test equipment, work stands and aerospace powered/non-powered equipment.
• Must show the ability to interpret instructions and explain how to accomplish the work.
• Knowledge of F-16 hydrazine systems, components, fault analysis, aircraft recovery and emergency spill/cleanup team procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot system anomalies and repair external tank, aircraft structural, bladder tank fuel leaks and remove/replace components.
• Knowledge of aircraft fuel systems work standards and how various aircraft systems interface with the primary fuel systems.
