Job summary

Amentum seeks an Air Transportation Supervisor to oversee flight service operations for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will supervise a team, ensuring aircraft are serviced, cleaned, and prepared for departure in accordance with AFI 24-605 and related regulations.

You will maintain accurate records and coordinate with cargo handlers and ground crews to ensure safe, on-time operations. Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in flight service, air transportation, or ground support operations, including supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in logistics, transportation management, or related fields preferred.
• Certification or training in air transportation or logistics management.
• Thorough knowledge of air transportation regulations and AFI 24-605 guidelines.
• Strong ability to manage schedules, aircraft servicing practices, and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise flight service operations and ensure tasks meet required timeframes and standards (AFI 24-605).
• Lead a team of Air Transportation personnel for loading, galley/lavatory servicing, and sanitation tasks.
• Coordinate work to meet aircraft departure/arrival schedules and monitor equipment usage.
• Ensure safety compliance and liaise with cargo handlers and ground crews for efficient servicing.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of activities, maintenance, and inventory.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to maintain high performance.
