Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation or related field.
• At least five years’ experience with the FAA, military or commercial flight operations.
• Experience overseeing flight training and inspections.

Responsibilities

• Oversee student flying at Heritage Flight Academy.
• Hold monthly safety meetings and record minutes.
• Address safety issues and follow up.
• Counsel flight students and document progress.
• Ensure academic class requirements align with flight progress.
• Visit Heritage weekly to engage with students, chief pilot and manager.
• Assess the flight program and recommend FAA-compliant improvements.
• Schedule three lessons per week in Flight Schedule Pro.
• Maintain documentation of student progress in D2L.
• Ensure Part 141 class progress matches flight training.
• Track semester stages and document progress.
• Attend Aviation Open Houses, possibly on weekends.
