Job summary

PlaneSense in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a full-time Financial Analyst to drive business performance through rigorous financial analysis. You will support the accounting department with planning, reporting, forecasts and budgets, and strategic initiatives within a private aviation setting.

You will partner with operations and leadership, delivering critical financial insights to guide the company’s direction.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.
5-7 years of financial analysis, accounting, or related experience preferred.
Experience in aviation, transportation, or service-based industries a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and variance analyses.
Lead annual budget process and monthly expenses & capex by department.
Ensure budget/forecast uploaded into Oracle Fusion EPM and coordinate with third-party IT/ERP vendor.
Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
Serve as primary contact for departments on budgeting or data requests.
Analyze internal and external financial reporting for accuracy; identify discrepancies.
Prepare ad hoc analyses and leadership-ready presentations.
Collaborate with Flight Operations, Maintenance, and HR to understand business drivers.
Monitor KPIs relevant to private aviation operations.
Assist with audit preparation and compliance reporting.
