Job summary

StandardAero in San Antonio, TX seeks an Accountant to research and analyze financials for business units and provide guidance on product line accounting. You will report to the Assistant Controller and support various accounting functions.

The role involves preparing journal entries, maintaining ledgers, assisting with budgets, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong Excel and financial software skills are essential, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Currently enrolled in or completion of CPA/CMA/CFM or equivalent credential.

Responsibilities

• Organize, analyze, and maintain financial records and transactions to ensure accuracy; collect and maintain data from internal databases and other sources to support financial analysis.
• Prepare and analyze daily workpapers for accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, capital assets, and payroll.
• Provide guidance on general ledger coding for purchase orders, expenses, and other transactions.
• Prepare and manage journal entries and general ledger activities; reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget adherence and identify concerns related to expenditures and profitability.
• Assist with internal and external audits; maintain internal control policies to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and other applicable regulatory standards.
• Review and code accounts payable and accounts receivable; collaborate with other departments on financial matters and support process improvements.
• Carry out special projects as assigned.
