Coastal Elite Pro is seeking an experienced quality specialist to ensure engine quality across repair and production environments. You will collaborate with a team to perform inspections, release engines and parts, and support regulatory compliance with 14 CFR parts.

The role spans shop floor and office tasks, with PPE and potential travel requirements. The ideal candidate has an FAA Part 65 license, 5+ years in repair/production with 2 in inspection, and strong analytical and communication

Qualificações

• Associates degree or relevant work experience, plus FAA Part 65 license.
• Minimum five years in repair/production with two in inspection.
• Knowledge of 14CFR Part 43, 145, and ideally Part 21.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with design data, tooling, gaging; experience with ERP/MES systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in PPE; travel may be required.

• Ensure shipment paperwork compliance and support design data reviews, incorporating updates from manuals and service bulletins.
• Maintain shop floor activities per approved procedures, providing feedback for improvements.
• Review inspection methods and tools, and manage suspect parts removal and investigation.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions related to product defects and escapes.
• Participate in other quality projects as assigned.

Role Overview:

Responsible for ensuring engine quality in repair and production environments, adhering to aviation maintenance and production regulations. Collaborates with a team to perform quality activities supporting assembly, inspection, testing, maintenance, and overhaul processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and release of engines and parts, including visual, borescope, and hand measurements.
• Ensure shipment paperwork compliance and support design data reviews, incorporating updates from manuals and service bulletins.
• Maintain shop floor activities per approved procedures, providing feedback for improvements.
• Review inspection methods and tools, and manage suspect parts removal and investigation.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions related to product defects and escapes.
• Participate in other quality projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associates degree or relevant work experience; FAA Part 65 Powerplant Mechanics license.
• At least five years of repair station or production experience, with two in inspection.
• Knowledge of 14CFR Part 43, 145, and preferably Part 21; strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with design data, tooling, gaging, Microsoft Office, ERP, and MES systems (IFS/Solumina preferred).
• Ability to work in shop and office environments, lift up to 50 lbs, and maintain 20/20 vision. May require travel and work in protective gear.

Working Conditions:

Must work on shop floor and office, in environments requiring PPE such as safety glasses, shoes, and hearing protection. May involve shift work, lifting, and travel.
