Barfield Inc. seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician to support the Electro-Mechanical department in the Operations/Production area.

The role is full-time, non-exempt, reporting to a supervisor or manager, with responsibilities spanning test, repair, calibration, inspection, and assembly of avionics components. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and 1-2 years of bench experience or relevant technical training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills.
• 1-2 years bench experience or technical training.
• Reads and interprets maintenance manuals to identify.
• Ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, repair and calibrate units using official documents.
• Knowledge of mechanical tools, multimeters, micrometers, calipers, measuring indicators, and gauges.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate units using schematics and CMMs.
• Inspect mechanical aircraft components for defects and wear.
• Disassemble, clean, and inspect aircraft components.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn components.
• Reassemble and test mechanical units to ensure proper operation.
• Perform a variety of complicated tasks.
• Familiar with CMM practices and procedures.
• Report to the lead person, supervisor, or manager.
