Garver in Birmingham, Alabama, is offering an Aviation Electrical Engineering Intern position that gives hands-on exposure to airport lighting, photometric design, power distribution, and construction administration within an office setting.

You will work under seasoned aviation design professionals, attend weekly meetings, and gain experience preparing plans and specifications for aviation projects, with opportunities to visit active sites.

Qualifications

Internship Description

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced aviation design professionals and industry leaders.
• Work in an engineering office environment experiencing daily interactions with engineering staff, including weekly team meetings, design progress meetings, and construction progress meetings.
• Receive training from senior engineers in various elements of airport lighting, photometric design, power distribution design, and construction administration for commercial service and general aviation airports.
• Gain experience in plan and specification preparation for aviation projects.
• Conduct site visits to see Garver's aviation projects in real life, such as airport hangars, taxiways, and runways.

This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting.
