Job summary

Textron Aviation in Independence, Kansas is seeking an EHS Engineer to design, advise and implement Environmental Health and Safety programs across our manufacturing operations for aircraft.

You will lead safety policies, investigate incidents, support ergonomic assessments, train employees and maintain permits, working with regulatory standards (EPA/OSHA) and corporate EHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
• Experience with EPA/OSHA rules and environmental health standards.
• Ability to analyze data and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement general safety and environmental policies in compliance with EPA/OSHA and corporate policies.
• Attend EHS meetings to stay updated on policies and transmit information to leadership.
• Lead or assist with investigations of injuries/illnesses and recommend preventive actions.
• Provide safety training and ergonomic assessments as needed.
• Support environmental reports and permit maintenance.
