Job summary

VSE Aviation is seeking a Jr. Process Review Technician in Independence, KS to support reviewing components and related documentation for accuracy.

You will verify task completion and ensure proper documentation per FAA-adjacent standards, including safety wire installation and preservation of civil aviation articles per official data. You will work under experienced technicians, reading technical manuals, and using ERP systems to ensure customer requirements are met and records are properly

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2+ years of relevant/technical work experience.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and work instructions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills with ERP systems familiarity.

Responsibilities

Review documentation for correctness before transfer to the next stage.
Identify and communicate any exceptions or discrepancies in documentation or compliance to technicians.
Ensure proper signoffs, part usage and procedural notes are documented.
Use ERP to review customer purchase orders and ensure components meet requirements.
Review service bulletins and confirm they are completed and documented.
Coordinate component priority level for processing.
Communicate priority issues to Production Coordinator and Final Inspection team.
Preserve components per maintenance manuals (CMMs).
Install safety cable on accessories after final function test.
Install shipping caps and plugs onto accessories.
Document maintenance records of all work performed.
Other duties as assigned.
