Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. invites Civil Engineering students to join its Aviation Design Internship in Kansas City, MO for the summer. The role involves planning, design, and construction activities across FAA, DOTs, airports, and consultants, with supervision from task leads.

Expect to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a mix of onsite and in-office responsibilities. Housing or relocation is not provided, and visa sponsorship is not offered. #LI-MH1 #LI-Hybrid

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing Civil Engineering or a related degree.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional multitasking and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on multi-disciplinary teams across project phases from programming to construction.
• Ensure deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget while upholding Woolpert quality standards.
• Coordinate with managers to address client satisfaction, scope changes, risk, schedule and financial performance.
• Contribute to Civil design on airport infrastructure, aviation research, and planning projects.
• Assist on project tasks including calculations, data analysis, drawings, cost estimates, and design plans.
• Work with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu.
