Job summary

HDR is seeking an Aviation Design Coordinator to join our Transportation Business Group. You will ensure compliance with FAA Orders, ACs, UFCs and client manuals, while supporting airfield design projects with specialty knowledge in areas like pavement or lighting.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and AVI-Plan is expected. You will collaborate with HDR’s Airfield Design Community of Practice, maintain project files, and assist with marketing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Interest or experience designing aviation facilities.
• Basic AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge and AVI-Plan familiarity.
• Microsoft Office experience.

Responsibilities

• Be aware of FAA Orders and Advisory Circulars (AC), UFC requirements, local agency requirements, and client manuals.
• Be informed of at least one specialty element (e.g., pavement, drainage, lighting, signage).
• Engage with HDR Airfield Design Community of Practice (CoP).
• Apply design tools and develop aviation-related designs, studies and reports.
• Prepare elements of aviation-related designs, studies and/or reports under direction.
• Maintain project records and SharePoint sites, project files, etc.
• Assist with marketing efforts and keep resume updated.
• Perform other duties as needed.
