Job summary

Rycon Construction is seeking an experienced Aviation Superintendent for our Houston, TX office to lead day-to-day construction activities on aviation projects. The role requires strong leadership, scheduling expertise, and a solid aviation background.

You will manage subcontractors, enforce OSHA safety standards, and coordinate inspections to ensure projects meet time and budget constraints. Ideal candidates bring seven or more years in construction with aviation experience, ability to read

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years of construction experience, aviation preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and plans.
• Proficient in scheduling and coordinating subcontractors and crews.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and site compliance.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day job-site activities and OSHA safety compliance.
• Prepare and communicate project schedule; provide input to Project Management for scheduling efforts.
• Coordinate daily activities for all subcontractors to meet design, budget, and schedule.
• Report issues to Project Manager and help find cost-effective solutions.
• Manage construction budgets and timely submission of invoices.
• Capture daily site logs detailing conditions, manpower, and activities.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and inspections are completed per regulations.
• Schedule and participate in inspections and coordinate final project inspections.
• Maintain clear daily communication with project management on status and risks.
• Respond to onsite incidents per company procedures.
