Job summary

Cumming Group in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a QA/QC Project Manager for Public Works aviation projects. The role focuses on leading QA/QC activities, developing quality plans, and ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, codes, and client standards.

You will coordinate with GCs, subcontractors, engineering/design teams, and clients, conduct site inspections, manage NCRs, and drive corrective actions to closure. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum of ten years of experience in Project Management, Engineering, or Construction Management; public sector/aviation preferred.
• Qualified Elevator Inspection (QEI) certification is required.
• Additional certifications: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage QA/QC activities across construction projects.
• Develop and implement project quality plans, inspection/testing procedures, checklists, and documentation processes throughout construction and closeout.
• Perform regular site inspections and quality audits, identifying deficiencies, tracking NCRs/punch-list items, and driving corrective actions to closure.
• Coordinate closely with GCs, subcontractors, engineering/design teams, commissioning teams, and client stakeholders to resolve quality issues and maintain project standards.
• Review installation documentation, testing records, submittals, turnover packages, and closeout documentation; experience on large-scale commercial, industrial, data center, or mission-critical projects preferred.
• Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and record keeping of electronic and physical documents.
• Drive the permitting process by designing team documents to be submitted to various local, state, and federal agencies and ensure the applicable permits are moving through the process efficiently.
• Ensure the project design management continues to follow the client project documents such as budget, scope, schedule, and client\'s design standards.
• Prepare cost and revenue projections.
• Other duties as assigned.
