Accura Engineering is seeking a Construction Inspector for Aviation/Airport projects in Louisville, KY. You will conduct detailed inspections, ensure compliance with plans, codes and safety regulations, and mentor junior staff while coordinating with stakeholders across multiple sites.

The role requires travel to sites, heavy lifting, and ability to work independently in varied outdoor conditions. A strong background in building inspections and knowledge of airport operations are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and five years of construction-related building inspection experience.
• Experience inspecting multiple disciplines such as concrete, buildings, electrical, HVAC and insulation.
• Excellent communication with management, clients, vendors and visitors.
• Ability to learn and apply local, state and federal codes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail in time-conscious work environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction inspection services on complex airport projects.
• Review contractor work, inspect materials, and verify certifications.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and project documentation.
• Coordinate field testing of construction materials and safety compliance.
• Mentor junior inspection staff and communicate with stakeholders.
• Review submittals, plans, and contractor quality control procedures.
