Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking an Aircraft Composite Technician in Solon, Ohio to repair parts using wet layup and prepregs in clean rooms and autoclave or oven environments.

You will work with curing equipment, bagging materials, and precision measuring tools, supported by a team that values safety and FAA-compliant practices. A high school diploma is required; A&P license is welcome. Overtime plus competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; A&P license welcome.
• Experience or training in aerospace composites is a plus.
• Team players who can work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Capable to use close tolerance measuring tools (e.g., scales, micrometers, calipers).
• Capable to use hand tools (drill motors, grinders, rivet guns).
• Ability to perform alignment/assembly using jig, templates and fixtures.
• PPE must be used when cutting, grinding, blending, and sanding.
• Extensive use of bagging materials for composite parts.
• Able to properly bag for a wide range of component shapes and styles.
• Capable of using a Hot-Bonder type machine cure procedure.
• Maintain and clean shop facilities, equipment and tooling as needed.
• Safely operate curing oven, autoclave, vacuum equipment.
• Basic computer skills to access electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
• Communicate effectively in English.
