Job summary

Garver’s Aviation Team in Wichita, KS is seeking a motivated civil engineering student to join our internship program as an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern. This in-office role offers mentorship, exposure to airfield pavement design, and involvement in airport lighting and construction oversight for both general aviation and commercial service airports.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.
• Interest in pursuing civil engineering in the aviation industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside and be mentored by experienced aviation design professionals and industry leaders.
• Receive training from senior engineers in airfield pavement design, pavement maintenance, airport lighting, and construction oversight for general aviation and commercial service airports.
• Visit Garver’s Aviation project sites, such as airport hangars, taxiways, and runways.
• Assist with project administration, submitting proposals, and grant applications.
