Job summary

TBE is a full-service aviation engineering firm seeking a Civil Engineer (PE) to manage and perform civil design for airport projects. The role focuses on airside and landside design, including airfield geometry, paving, drainage, and utilities. On-site in Wilmington, NC or Richmond, VA with five-day workweeks.

Ideal candidates hold a PE license in NC/SC/VA (or able to obtain) and bring 5+ years of transportation/civil design experience, plus proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in NC/SC/VA or able to obtain.
• 5+ years of civil engineering design experience on transportation projects; aviation experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop production work plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Assist with scopes and budgets for new task orders or amendments.
• Work on aviation airside and/or landside design projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Ensure codes and standards are applied on projects.
• Lead or contribute to successful project completion under supervision.
