Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Civil Graduate Engineer, Aviation to join our Appleton, WI team. You will support a licensed Civil Engineer and learn our standard practices and local agency codes while contributing to runway/taxiway design and related infrastructure projects.

The role emphasizes learning design software, performing calculations, preparing plans and specifications, and assisting with project management tasks as you pursue a Professional Engineering license.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent, with ability to obtain within 6–12 months
Engineer-in-Training certificate or ability to obtain within 6–12 months

Responsibilities

Assist with design of public infrastructure work, including FAA runway/taxiway projects
Provide drafting support for plan production activities
Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations
Prepare drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Open Roads, or related software
Follow internal QA/QC procedures, engineering standards, and best practices
Observe construction activities and learn construction methods and translation of drawings
Coordinate with agency staff and internal support teams on designs and analyses
Develop calculations in Excel and prepare reports and presentations
