Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent field of study, and/or the ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
• Engineer-in-Training Certificate, or the ability to obtain within 6-12 months.

Aufgaben

• Assist with the design of public infrastructure work, including runways, taxiways, grading, and drainage in accordance with FAA design standards.
• Provide technical, day-to-day design support to the Project Engineer, including drafting support for plan production activities
• Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and utility evaluations
• Prepares drawings and visual aids
• Prepare various exhibits and design drawings using AutoCAD Civil3D, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Open Roads, or other related engineering software
• Follow internal QA/QC procedures, engineering standards, and best practices.
• Observes construction activities and works to develop an understanding of construction methods and the translation of engineering drawings and specifications into the constructed product
• Works to learn the fundamentals of engineering processes and to apply them successfully to operating systems
• Coordination with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues
• Utilizing Microsoft Office Suite to develop calculations in Excel, reports and letters in Word, and presentations in PowerPoint
• Other duties as assigned
