Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics in Wichita, Kansas seeks a Certification Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for evaluating and testing electrical equipment for FAA TSO, STC and PMA activities. You will oversee the entire testing process from planning to final certification, ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering high-quality results.

The role requires 3+ years of testing experience, familiarity with industry standards, and proficiency in common electrical test

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and certifying electrical equipment.
  • Direct experience with industry, regulatory, and/or military standards/specifications.
  • Experience using oscilloscopes, DVMs, data acquisition and other electrical test equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Results-oriented with good problem-solving and prioritizing skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Test and certify electrical equipment to support FAA TSO, STC and PMA activities.
  • Manage the entire testing process from project start to finish.
  • Review technical data and forms to ensure regulatory compliance and quality.
  • Provide engineering and technical support in evaluation and testing of existing and new technologies.
