Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services—Sky Cafe is seeking a Catering Manager to oversee daily catering operations, transportation, sanitation, and commissary functions within a fast-paced airport setting. You will lead supervisors and frontline staff, ensure regulatory compliance, manage costs, and partner with HR on staffing and training.

The role requires 3–5 years in catering/aviation or related fields, 2+ years leadership, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and related clearances as applicable.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• 3–5 years of operational catering/aviation/logistics experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain airport and security clearances.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily catering operations, including transportation, sanitation, and commissary functions.
• Ensure all operations comply with company policies, airline requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline team members to drive performance.
• Monitor performance to meet service levels and customer expectations.
• Support staffing plans, scheduling, and manpower allocation.
• Partner with HR on hiring, training, performance management, and development.
• Ensure training and recertifications are completed and maintained.
• Maintain relationships with airline customers, airport authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor costs, labor utilization, and budget expectations.
• Ensure accurate completion of operational documentation and compliance records.
• Promote Safety Management System practices and safety audits.
• Identify gaps and implement process improvements to boost efficiency.
• Maintain equipment, facilities, and materials in safe condition.
• Communicate updates and performance metrics to leadership.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
