Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace is seeking an experienced Wood Finisher to prepare and finish aircraft furniture in our Savannah, GA facility. You will read blueprints and engineering drawings to set up and complete finishing work with a focus on quality and safety.

Two years of wood finishing experience are required, with aerospace experience preferred. High school diploma or GED is necessary, and prior knowledge of cabinet finishing processes is a plus.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in wood finishing.
• Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cabinet finishing processes and products.

Responsibilities

• Prepare furniture for finish and disassembly using blueprints, aircraft specifications and drawings.
• Perform high quality repairs to finished surfaces and polish blemishes as needed to prepare the aircraft for delivery.
• Apply finish to furniture using spray equipment and other manual/mechanical methods.
• Use sandpapers, polishes, adhesives, masking mediums, solvents and power tools to finish furniture.
• Follow safety, 5S and housekeeping policies and use PPE to protect aircraft interior.
