Job summary

Johnson Service Group is seeking a contract Cabin Design Engineer to work in Mobile, AL. The role involves developing solutions for Airbus cabin products, including A350, A320, and A330 module customization, and interfacing with suppliers and airline customers.

The engineer will lead design activities, ensure full certification, and manage milestones from ITCM to CDR, while collaborating with a cross-functional team in a fast-paced, global program.

Qualifications

• Minimum BS degree in engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in aviation with 3+ years in cabin engineering.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fully qualified cabin equipment designs meeting technical, weight, schedule, quality and cost targets.
• Manage GRESS deliverables for the program and maintain action logs with stakeholders.
• Prepare and lead ITCM, PDR, CDR and major milestone meetings with airline customers and suppliers.
• Define/validate interfaces and update installation requirements and technical specs.
• Guide qualification/verification and release of the DDP to ensure full certification.
• Initiate and manage supplier improvements to drive performance and ensure compliance.
