Job summary

Airbus in Mobile, AL seeks a Cabin Engineer within the Cabin Upgrade Engineering team to apply aerospace engineering principles to cabin retrofit solutions. You will manage technical and project aspects from defining global architectures to certification plans and provide on‑site liaison with customers and MRO facilities.

The role focuses on coordinating 2D/3D design with internal customers and the manufacturer, driving digitalization and automation to improve efficiency and data‑driven

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace/Mechanical Eng with 0–3 years experience.
• CATIA V5 or similar CAD experience.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: develop cabin retrofit solutions end‑to‑end.
• Engineering Documentation: create robust retrofit drawings.
• Kit Definition: specify complete kit requirements.
• Project Management & Stakeholder Liaison: manage cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Project Execution: develop modifications per project plan.
• Program Enablers: manage program enablers and timely delivery.
• Stakeholder Management: coordinate all project partners.
• Subcontractor Oversight: monitor external contractors.
• Interface Management: liaison between internal teams and Airbus departments.
• Certification & Compliance: develop certification plan and support regulatory needs.
• Customer Support & Fleet Technical Assistance: on‑site support to customers.
