Job summary

Embraer in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks an avionics/electrical technician to maintain, troubleshoot, test, repair and install avionics components in corporate aircraft. You will work with navigation, communication, radar, and flight instrumentation systems, using standard test equipment and OEM data.

The role requires a High School diploma, A&P or FAA Repairman certificate (Avionics) and 1 year depot-level experience; FCC license is a plus.

Qualifications

Troubleshooting to identify causes of operating errors and determine corrective actions.
Ability to interpret avionic/electrical wiring diagrams and related cables.
Knowledge of FAA maintenance procedures and OEM data.
Ability to fabricate wiring harnesses and install avionic/electrical systems.
Strong manual dexterity with hand tools and soldering equipment.
FCC license is a desirable qualification for this role.

Responsibilities

Perform routine or special maintenance inspections and test avionics/electrical systems.
Fabricate wiring harnesses and install/modify avionic/electrical systems.
Follow FAA-approved procedures and OEM data; prepare work packages.
Inspect completed work and perform rework as needed to meet standards.
Conduct serviceability tests using specified test equipment.
Document work with sign-off on work packages.
