Job summary

West Star Aviation in Grand Junction, CO is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support maintenance on civilian aircraft in a busy hangar. The role involves troubleshooting, inspection, parts removal and installation, and use of ground support equipment under supervision.

Candidates may progress through AMT I–IV tracks, with licensure in Airframe (Powerplant preferred) and 0–6+ years of aviation maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license; passport ideal but not mandatory.
• Airframe license required; Powerplant license preferred.
• 0–2 years aviation maintenance or related experience for AMT I; more for AMT II/III/IV levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components; troubleshoot system issues.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components; assist in taxiing and performance runs.
• Operate ground support equipment and maintain shop facilities.
