Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. in North Carolina is seeking a Production Associate to execute pre-planned manufacturing operations meeting quality and delivery targets.

You will work in a climate-controlled environment and handle parts, perform deburrs, operate airflow and heat treat furnaces, assemble parts, and run cutting and press operations to keep equipment reliable. The role requires a HS diploma or GED and 2-3 years of hands-on fabrication experience, with the ability to learn

Job Purpose

Production Associate is responsible for executing pre-planned manufacturing operations to produce products that meet quality and delivery requirements to support business targets.

Key Accountabilities
  • Handle parts using manual means and machines to ensure parts meet quality requirements

Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications
  • HS diploma or GED
Minimum Experience
  • 2-3 years of hands-on fabrication experience
Other Job-Specific Skills
  • Ability to work independently and take on new challenges and assignments
  • Ability to interact/communicate effectively to all levels
  • Self Starter with ability to perform with minimal supervision
  • Ability to problem solve, within area of expertise, at a high level
  • Ability to learn and use multiple business system software

Working Conditions
  • Climate-controlled production environment.
  • Regular exposure to the manufacturing areas which under certain circumstances require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields, mandatory hearing protection and safety shoes.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, and sit as well as regular use of hands, fingers, and arms.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
