Job summary

VSE is seeking an Aviation Accessory Technician III (USI4) to perform maintenance on fuel, oil, or air accessories in accordance with manufacturer instructions and FAA data. This role requires technical knowledge, troubleshooting skills, and meticulous work on first shift.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of technical experience, proficiency with precision measuring instruments, and the ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents; background checks and drug testing apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant technical work experience.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, hand tools, and test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, QAPs, and engineering drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and high mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fuel controls, governors, or accessories as designated.
• Test limited fuel controls, governors, or accessories on a test bench.
• Operate test equipment to verify function and performance.
• Use precision tools for daily measurements.
• Read and interpret technical data and drawings.
• Generate data plates for components with a laser system.
• Verify accessories meet airworthiness specifications.
• Troubleshoot issues to determine root cause.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering to resolve technical issues.
• Document maintenance records for repair work orders.
