Job summary

Florida Tech is seeking an Advisor for the Office of Student Advising to guide undergraduate students from their first day on campus through graduation. You will empower students to make informed educational decisions and develop tailored academic plans aligned with career goals.

You will collaborate with flight operations, aeronautics faculty, and support offices to ensure accurate degree pathways and successful outcomes, emphasizing student success and policy navigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in academic advising or student affairs valued.
• Knowledge of Aviation/Aeronautics/Flight Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one holistic academic advising to undergraduate FTIC, returning, and transfer students.
• Track progress using degree audit software and maintain records.
• Collaborate with the Registrar’s office and academic departments to resolve registration issues and verify graduation eligibility.
• Promote student engagement and serve as a liaison across colleges/departments and with parents as needed.
