Florida Tech is seeking a dedicated Academic Advisor to guide undergraduate students through major and degree planning within the College of Aeronautics. You will empower students to navigate policies, align academic plans with career goals, and support their progress from first day on campus to graduation.

The role emphasizes holistic advising, records management, collaboration with faculty and offices, and advocacy for student success, including orientation and access to campus resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in related field preferred.
• Prior experience in academic advising or student services is valued.
• Experience or knowledge in Aviation, Aeronautics, or Flight Training preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one advising to FTIC, returning, and transfer undergraduates.
• Guide course and flight block registration aligned with degree plans.
• Monitor progress using advising technology and maintain records.
• Collaborate with Registrar’s office to resolve issues and verify graduation eligibility.
• Support New Student Orientation and campus resource connections.
• Advocate for student success and connect students with campus services.
