Job summary

Air Methods is seeking an experienced aircraft mechanic at our St. Louis maintenance facility to perform inspections, repairs, and alterations on Company-operated aircraft and components in accordance with FARs and Air Methods policies.

Bell 407 experience preferred; ensure all maintenance documentation is accurate and compliant. The role requires 2–5 years of related experience, an active FAA A&P license, and strong troubleshooting and metal/composite repair skills.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of related experience
• Active FAA A&P license required
• FAR 135 operations preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and repairs of aircraft/components per procedures and FARs
• Verifies part numbers/serial numbers align with documentation
• Ensures maintenance docs comply with regulations and manuals
• Participates in SMS improvement initiatives
• Maintains clean, professional work area and communicates issues to leadership
• Advises PIC of any maintenance issues that could ground an aircraft
• Validates data in Status Reports for the aircraft worked on
• Requests parts to maintain inventory for prompt repairs
• Other duties as assigned
