Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AVEVA PI Integration Lead to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-wide data integration for manufacturing operations and business systems. You will collaborate with automation engineers, IT/OT teams, data architects, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

In this role you will lead PI System components, build real-time data integrations, and mentor teams while ensuring performance, reliability, and cybersecurity. Onsite with 3–4 days in-office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, instrumentation, information technology, or related discipline.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with AVEVA PI System (PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Vision, PI DataLink, PI Integrators).
• Strong experience integrating industrial systems (DCS, SCADA, MES, PLCs, ERP) in manufacturing.
• Deep knowledge of OPC UA/DA, Modbus, MQTT, and related data acquisition technologies.
• Experience with scripting and automation (Python, SQL, PowerShell, or .NET) and IT/OT cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of AVEVA PI System components.
• Design and implement integrations between manufacturing systems for real-time visibility and analytics.
• Develop and maintain PI AF structures, templates, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Establish data governance and ensure performance, reliability, and cybersecurity.
• Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and mentorship during upgrades and DR planning.
