Napakiak Ventures LLC, a Joint Venture of Napakiak Environmental & Construction LLC (NEC) and Advanced Technologies & Laboratories International, Inc. (ATL), a PSI company, is in search of a qualified Avaya Communications Management (CM) Technician to assist with the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for mission-critical Voice Systems across multiple remote sites within the DC Metropolitan Area. This position will be part of our team supporting the Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. If you are ready to contribute to a dynamic work environment, we encourage you to apply!

The Voice Systems encompass an Avaya Aura Communications Manager ("Avaya CM") solution that spans multiple buildings. This solution is linked to the Public Switched Telephone Network ("PSTN") through 34 Primary Rate Interfaces (PRI). The on-site Avaya CM Voice System also facilitates nationwide appointment scheduling and status update communications. Another component is the Forum-III conference bridge system, supporting seamless conference calls.

Currently operating on Avaya CM 7.x, the Voice Systems are scheduled for an upgrade to the latest approved version. The selected candidate will support the existing Voice Systems and assist with technical refresh tasks such as installation, testing, security implementation, migration to new platforms or components, and overall maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with RMF (Risk Management Framework) Authority to Operate (ATO) standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a skilled field technician, primarily responsible for performing adds, moves, and changes on Avaya UC solutions, but may also support in resolving problems in the field under the guidance of the Lead Engineer. Will assist in managing spares inventory and maintaining wiring closets.

• Install, modify, or relocate telephones
• System Operation
• Assist the Lead Engineer with Tier I and II triage functions such as repair and restore in case of component failure or system outage
• Replace defective telephone sets

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience with Avaya UC solutions
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues
• Ability to operate under pressure, prioritize tasks, and take full accountability
• Required certification: Avaya CM
• Preferred certification: Avaya Contact Center
• Experience with Aura Applications is essential
• Possession of ACIS (Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist) certification
• Additional credentials such as AIPS, ASPS, ACSS, ACSE are advantageous
• Minimum certification for DoD 8570 / DoDI 8140 IAT-1 role (e.g., A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+ CE, SSCP) is required
