Job description

TITLE: A/V Technician
TYPE: Contract
LOCATION: Norristown, PA
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Onsite
START DATE: February/March 2025
SHIFT: 1st


We are seeking a skilled A/V Technician to provide professional support across a diverse range of clients, including corporate executives and federal government officials. The ideal candidate will be an organized and self-driven video production expert, proficient in editing with Adobe Premiere Pro. Additionally, you'll need to have a firm grasp of operating video switchers in both live and recorded settings, paired with experience in working with various video cameras and lighting equipment. A positive attitude, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit are essential traits for success in this role.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Edit video projects using Adobe Premiere Pro, ranging from small to large-scale productions.
  • Set up and operate video and lighting equipment in a modern studio environment.
  • Utilize Client broadcast cameras in a multi-camera format.
  • Provide top-tier support for corporate meetings and events, including Webex and Microsoft Teams sessions, live events, and webinars.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow A/V technicians and report to the manager of conference services.
  • Assist in all internal and external events requiring technical expertise, such as large conferences, training sessions, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Oversee the daily operation and support of a cutting-edge corporate conference center, managing all technical equipment.
  • Engage in a variety of technical tasks, including configuring and troubleshooting integrated A/V systems, projectors, microphones, sound equipment, computer systems, and video conferencing tools.
  • Work onsite with some flexibility in scheduling required.
  • Operate various video switchers, including Ross and other professional models (e.g., Roland).
  • Manage Client PTZ cameras and controllers.
  • Set up and adjust video production backgrounds, tables, and camera and microphone configurations as needed.
  • Resolve hardware, operating system, and software issues while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Manage client expectations with professionalism and a positive demeanor, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Build strong relationships by delivering exceptional customer support, being responsive to needs, and fostering a positive professional environment.
  • Occasionally assist with lifting and moving equipment and furniture for on-site and off-site meeting setups.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional video editing experience in a corporate setting.
  • Proven experience in video production and post-production, including video switchers, cameras, lighting, and an eye for visually appealing shots. Knowledge of teleprompters is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience with Ross Carbonite, Roland, and Blackmagic switchers.
  • Familiarity with Blackmagic Smart Video Hub.
  • Experience with Client mounted PTZ cameras, LUMIX GH5s, and other models.
  • Knowledge of Kaltura MediaSpace, Microsoft Stream, and shared company folders.
  • Live studio and video shoot experience.
  • Working knowledge of Aperture 300x, Light Panel Astra 6X Bi-color, and Colorado 2 Solo (event lighting experience is a plus).
  • Sennheiser G4 Lavalier Microphone System proficiency.
  • Willingness to assist with additional A/V projects and collaboration tool support.
