Job summary

Crewforce in Brooklyn is seeking an Audio/Visual Technician with 3+ years of experience installing AV systems in commercial environments. You will handle installation, testing, troubleshooting, and programming of systems from Crestron, Extron, AMX, to Smartboards, and run low voltage cabling.

You should own basic hand tools and possess a solid grounding in electronics and low voltage integration. Certifications from Polycom, AMX, Crestron, NEC, or Bi-AMP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Installation of devices such as TVs, speakers, projectors, PA systems, smartboards.
• Operate test equipment: volt meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, multi-meter, impedance meter.
• Work solo or in teams to integrate low voltage systems for commercial installations and service projects.

Job description

Audio / Visual Technician- $20-$35/hr - DOE

We are currently hiring Audio/Visual Technicians with 3+ years of experience performing audio/visual installation a commercial setting in the Brooklyn Area.

Audio / Visual Technician Job:

• Installation, service, testing, troubleshooting, or programming of numerous Audio-Visual Systems including: Crestron, Extron, AMX, Smartboards, etc.
• Installation of low voltage cable
• Installation of various AV devices such as TV's, speakers, projectors, PA systems, smartboards, etc.
• Operation of test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multi-Meter, and Impedence Meter
• Working in teams or independently to integrate various low voltage systems and complete commercial installation and service projects

Audio / Visual Technician Qualifications:

• Recent experience performing AV installations in a commercial setting
• Your own basic hand tools
• Working knowledge of audio, video, control, and communications systems is required
• Strong background in electronics and low voltage integration or solid job history/tenure working for an established A/V contractor
• Audio, video conferencing, or control equipment manufacturer certifications is a plus (Polycom, AMX, Crestron, NEC, Bi-AMP, etc.)

Compensation:

• Competitive starting pay $20-$35/hr or depending on experience
