Job summary

Crewforce in New York is seeking an Audio/Visual Technician with 3+ years of commercial AV installation experience for an immediate placement in the Queens area. You will install, service, and test AV systems including Crestron, Extron, AMX, and other devices.

This role involves wiring low voltage cables, mounting TVs/projectors, and using test equipment. You can work solo or in teams and may earn weekly pay with benefits options.

Qualifications

• Recent experience performing AV installations in a commercial setting.
• Own basic hand tools.
• Working knowledge of audio, video, control, and communications systems.
• Certifications in AV equipment (Polycom, AMX, Crestron, NEC, Bi-AMP) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, test, troubleshoot, or program AV systems including Crestron, Extron, AMX, Smartboards, etc.
• Install low voltage cable.
• Install AV devices such as TVs, speakers, projectors, PA systems, smartboards.
• Operate test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multi-Meter, Impedance Meter.
• Work solo or in teams to integrate low voltage systems on commercial projects.

Audio / Visual Technician- $20-$35/hr - DOE

We are currently hiring Audio/Visual Technicians with 3+ years of experience performing audio/visual installation in a commercial setting. Candidates are encouraged to apply ASAP as we have an immediate need in the Queens Area.

These positions are commercial-based, construction installation positions. These positions are NOT event set-up and tear down nor are they related to the TV, film, or music industry.

Audio / Visual Technician Job:

• Installation, service, testing, troubleshooting, or programming of numerous Audio-Visual Systems including: Crestron, Extron, AMX, Smartboards, etc.
• Installation of low voltage cable
• Installation of various AV devices such as TV’s, speakers, projectors, PA systems, smartboards, etc.
• Operation of test equipment: Volt Meter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multi-Meter, and Impendence Meter
• Working in teams or independently to integrate various low voltage systems and complete commercial installation and service projects

Audio / Visual Technician Qualifications:

• Recent experience performing AV installations in a commercial setting
• Your own basic hand tools
• Working knowledge of audio, video, control, and communications systems is required
• Strong background in electronics and low voltage integration or solid job history/tenure working for an established A/V contractor
• Audio, video conferencing, or control equipment manufacturer certifications is a plus (Polycom, AMX, Crestron, NEC, Bi-AMP, etc.)

Compensation:

• Competitive starting pay $20-$35/hr or depending on experience
