Job summary

Vox Audio Visual in Oklahoma City is seeking an AV Install Technician to install, configure, and maintain audio-visual systems for commercial clients. You will work with video walls, projectors, sound systems, control systems, and related hardware.

Responsibilities include running cables, mounting equipment, configuring control systems, testing installations, and providing client training and ongoing support. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in AV installation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
• CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure AV equipment such as video walls, displays, projectors, speakers, microphones, control systems, and other related hardware.
• Run and terminate cables (HDMI, Ethernet, audio, video) and perform connections and adjustments.
• Ensure proper mounting and placement of AV equipment according to client specifications and safety standards.
• Program and configure AV control systems (e.g., QSys, Crestron, AMX, Extron).
• Perform system testing to ensure components function correctly and meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation.
• Work closely with clients to understand AV needs and provide recommendations.
• Conduct client training sessions on the use of installed AV systems.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance to ensure client satisfaction.
• Maintain records of installations including schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Report on project status to Lead AV Technician or Project Manager.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and project managers for project completion.
• Assist in developing SOPs and best practices for AV installations.
